Via Vecchio Caffe was built in 1999 and was located in the first refit of Westfield Shopping Centre Chermside – the Suthern end food court near Coles Supermarket .
The Vecchio’s were ahead of their time , it was more than a Caffe , more a restaurant style caffe with a full menu of Italian Food and a Licenced Caffe with, foccias , hot food, with a full menu of Italian cuisine. Why was it named A Caffe rather than Cafe , Caffe is the Italian way to spell Cafe .
Located on the upper deck of the Via Vecchio, there were several display cabinets , with little porcelain figurines, available for purchase as well as a Carpeted area , for private dinning .
